Snow Big Deal

I wish I knew what it was about a few white flakes that makes people drive like complete morons. This isn’t the years first snowfall, but it’s actually managed to accumulate and make the roads a bit slick in places. People from upstate New York–or even northern Indiana–wouldn’t think twice about it. However, after yesterday morning’s complete and utter mess, I am just as glad to stay off the freeways today. Not because of the snow, mind you. Because of the other people.

Heh. I’ve lived through snow and ice storms down here. Watching other people play car hockey is very amusing, as long as I’m not out in it myself.

He he - yes, that’s been one of the very nice things about being back in the Northeast. We’ve had two major snowstorms so far, and several minor ones, and every time people have actually shown some common sense. Radical behavior like *gasp* actually slowing down when the roads are slippery! Granted, in some cases it’s actually slowing down TO the speed limit, but still, much better driving than I remember from Bloomington. :)
