Pajama Time is a concept that has been kicking around in my mind for quite a while, but has only recently acquired a name and a clear definition. Pajama Time is the time after which I do not do anything that I don’t feel like doing. Generally, it starts when I have changed into my pajamas for the evening, although not always, and ends when I fall asleep for the night. It bears no relation to clock time—a few months ago, I had a really bad day and Pajama Time started at 1:00 PM. Every once in a while, I’ll have an entire weekend of Pajama Time. I strongly encourage the Reading Public to have a little Pajama Time daily, even if it’s only twenty minutes or so. Indulgence doesn’t get any cheaper.
