“It’s amazing what they’re doing with magic these days, isn’t it?” my assistant piped up. I elbowed him into silence.

Dragons may be ancient and allegedly wise, but they aren’t what you’d call financial wizards. Brightscales was no exception. We used our profits to relocate to another continent, under assumed names.
